Bihar Congress Leader Meets Kharge and Gandhi, Pledges to Bolster Party Before Assembly Elections

New Delhi [India], March 20 (ANI): Newly appointed Bihar Congress president Rajesh Kumar on Wednesday met Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi In Delhi, as assembly elections are set for Bihar later this year.

Following the meeting, Kumar stated that the talks were centered around the impending elections, underlining the importance of concentrated efforts in Bihar.

"This meeting was in the context of Bihar. We have to work with full force in Bihar. The government that is currently running in Bihar is not working on good issues. We have to work further on the issue of employment; migration is taking place... This is a new responsibility... I have got the opportunity to do more work in less time," Kumar told ANI.

Following his appointment, Kumar expressed gratitude towards the party's leadership in his initial remarks, including Rahul Gandhi , Mallikarjun Kharge , and KC Venugopal , for providing him with the chance.

"I am grateful to the senior leadership of my party for providing me with this chance, being someone from the Dalit community, to take up this role," Kumar stated, recognizing the confidence bestowed upon him.

He mapped out the upcoming obstacles, acknowledging the party's robust framework and stressing the importance of fine-tuning.

"The task at hand for me is to finish several projects within a limited timeframe, all while making sure that the festivities continue and matters of public concern are addressed in the legislature," he stated.

Kumar highlighted Rahul Gandhi His philosophy centers around preserving the Constitution and elevating minority groups.

"In Odisha, Bhakta Charan Das from the Dalit community was made the state president; in Bihar, Rajesh Kumar from the Dalit community was made the state Congress chief; and in Telangana, Muslim reservation was increased.
