Washington D.C., [India], March 18 (ANI): The crime drama TV show ' Snowfall ' has officially been granted a pilot by the streaming platform FX According to Deadline, actors Gail Bean and Isaiah John will be reprising their roles as Wanda and Leon, respectively.
As reported by Deadline, the spin-off will extend the original narrative, focusing on the 1990s era in Los Angeles' South Central district as it shifts from the drug scene to the emerging world of gangsta rap.
Actress Gail Bean's character would act as the bridge between the original series and its spin-off, anticipated to feature additional principal roles.
Apart from Wanda and Leon from the initial show, it remains unclear whether any additional surviving characters might make an appearance in the upcoming project. Auditions are set to start soon, with the first episode entering production this summer, asDeadline reports.
The project hails from Snowfall It's Dave Andron, Thomas Schlamme, Julie DeJoie, Michael London, and Trevor Engelson who will serve as executive producers. They will work alongside writer Malcolm Spellman.
The spinoff is of FX 's Snowfall The show wrapped up after six seasons. It was jointly created by John Singleton, Eric Amadio, and Dave Andron. The series featured Damson Idris , Carter Hudson, Emily Rios, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Michael Hyatt, Amin Joseph, Gail Bean, and Isaiah John starring in the main roles.
