The leader of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Hafiz Naeem ur-Rehman, has urged for a countrywide demonstration on Friday. He condemned what he termed as U.S.-supported Israeli actions in Palestine.
He criticized Israel's activities in Gaza, asserting that backed by the United States, these actions amounted to the most egregious fascist deeds, leading to the deaths of 48,000 Palestinians, among them women and children, who he referred to as martyrs.
"Thousands are still buried beneath the debris, with the count of wounded surpassing hundreds of thousands," he stated, underscoring the dire humanitarian emergency in Gaza because of inadequate supplies of food and medical resources.
The leader of JI encouraged all Pakistani citizens to participate in protest marches held in key urban centers on Friday to demonstrate support for Palestine.
