That Tesla 'Doxxing' Site Stinks: Here's Why

Upon closer inspection, the website appears unfinished, and it's uncertain just how reliable any of the provided information really is.

  • DogeQuest allegedly possessed the information regarding both DOGE staff members and Tesla proprietors.
  • As far as we can tell, the list of Tesla owners and facilities is quite lacking.
  • At present, the site is not operational.

Yesterday, the internet was shaken up by a website that looked straight out of Black Mirror The website named DogeQuest (I will refrain from linking it here) claims to be an interactive map exposing the locations of Tesla owners across different states. Additionally, it singles out Tesla service centers by highlighting their positions, rather overtly prompting viewers to consider taking measures against these facilities.

The owners mentioned on the website are informed that they can request removal if they provide evidence of selling their vehicles via an email sent to the specified address. Furthermore, it claims to provide the private data of workers from DOGE. Elon Musk's informal initiative to reduce governmental regulations.

What I'm saying is, that website doesn't feel right to me. Let's take a moment to consider this.

According to the website, Tesla supposedly only has six owners throughout all of Central Ohio. Really? I'm right here in the midst of it. While we're certainly not overly welcoming towards electric vehicles, things can't be that terrible. Personally, I am acquainted with more than six Tesla owners and they don’t seem to appear on this list. Both the Model 3 and Model Y remain quite popular around these parts. You’ll even spot an occasional Cybertruck, along with instances of Model X and Model S driving about my city. Additionally, the listing fails to include our local trio of superchargers; notably, one of those stations has been operational for half a decade now.

I won’t claim that all the information provided is false. Other outlets have verified some of the data and learned that these are real Tesla owners (at least at one point in time). However, all of this doesn’t make any sense at all. It isn’t evident whether the mentioned owners have connections to DOGE or how these relationships are established.

At most, the data is quite lacking and questionable; thus, Tesla owners worried about their safety might feel somewhat relieved after this revelation.

Tesla vehicles aren’t particularly uncommon. In fact, stroll for about five minutes in almost any U.S. city and you’re likely to come across a Tesla of some kind. Additionally, finding the whereabouts of Superchargers or Tesla dealerships is straightforward since this data is readily available online; there’s no secrecy surrounding electric vehicle charging stations. Should anyone wish to replicate what occurred in Las Vegas , South Carolina or Belfast , they wouldn’t require a badly-designed database to determine how to strategize their next step. They would simply act on it. They are already undertaking this.

The rise in protests against Tesla seems risky. With the Tesla Takedown gaining momentum, the Trump administration has stated that the acts of vandalism are concerning. Tesla dealerships should be regarded as engaging in "domestic terrorism." It remains uncertain how the act of vandalizing a particular company's merchandise, typically considered an offense under state law, has suddenly become subject to federal charges.

InsideEVs couldn't confirm the identity of the individual behind DogeQuest. It might have been someone with ill intentions, possibly a protester against Tesla looking for radical measures. Alternatively, it could be something completely different. Regardless, the site is utterly ridiculous.

At present, the website is not operational.
