Following Auburn's dismissal of their head women’s basketball coach Johnnie Harris earlier this month, a player from Oklahoma has decided to withdraw their commitment from the university.
Putnam North’s Brandie Harrod, the The No. 42-rated prospect in the Class of 2025 as per 247 Sports , shared her decision via social media. The announcement was made mere hours before she guided her squad to their initial Oklahoma state title .
This season, Harrod has been putting up an average of 13 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game, as reported by Nick Sardis from The Oklahoman.
Harrod had pledged to Auburn back in September. However, she mentioned recently that she plans to reopen her recruiting process. At present, it’s uncertain which direction she may lean toward. Prior to committing to Auburn, according to 247 Sports, Clemson, Georgia, Mississippi State, and Oklahoma State were among the potential options, though these details seem outdated now.
Harrod is ranked as a 4-star recruit.
