President William Ruto has transferred Belio Kipsang, who was previously the long-serving Principal Secretary for Basic Education, to another ministry.
On Friday, March 20, in an official announcement, Chief of Staff and Public Service Director Felix Koskei stated that Kipsang has been reassigned from the Ministry of Education to the Ministry of Interior. He will now serve as the Principal Secretary at the State Department for Immigration and Citizen Services.
Kipsang wasn't the sole official moved from his position, as Medical Services Principal Secretary Harry Kimtai was likewise shifted to the Ministry of Mining.
Principal Secretary Julius Bitok has been moved from his role at Immigration and Citizen Services to the State Department overseeing Basic Education.
