LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Catholic Charities of Lubbock hopes to assist local families and children in "Creating a Brighter Tomorrow" during National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

The non-profit organization invited children from the Guadalupe Early Learning Center to participate in Lego-inspired events as part of launching prevention month on Friday.

Catholic Charities provides numerous initiatives aimed at assisting individuals facing hardships across the South Plains.

This month, they're providing complimentary programs focused on child abuse prevention.

This encompasses a Family and Youth Success Initiative, a Parent Empowerment Plan, along with a Kinship Navigation Scheme.
