Dallas Cowboys Sign Former Commander Offensive Lineman Saahdiq Charles for Tryout

Where else would you find more depth at the offensive line position than within your own division?

That’s perhaps the Dallas Cowboys ' reaction to the information revealed on Friday, from Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network , they signed ex-Washington Commanders offensive lineman Saahdiq Charles.

Charles is a 25-year-old former college athlete who was selected in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft by Washington. At Louisiana State University (LSU), he was a member of the squad that won the national championship in 2019.

Charles decided to come back from retirement after joining the Tennessee Titans for their training camp earlier this year. During his time with Washington over four seasons, he appeared in 35 games and started in 18 of them.

The Cowboys bolstered their offensive line. in free agency already on March 10, when they signed ex-Miami Dolphins left guard Robert Jones .

Dallas will require competition for the spot as well. All-Star Zack Martin said he was retiring during the off-season. .
