You'll need to journey all the way to the far side of the globe to lay claim to the most robust Ford Ranger ever produced.
The first Ford Ranger Super Duty It has come to light in Australia, where it was created. This truck is derived from the Global Ranger model that is marketed internationally, excluding the U.S. Although these two vehicles share similarities, they are not identical.
We paid close attention to the insights shared by some of the most dedicated fleet managers who highlighted what was essential for boosting productivity," stated Jim Baumbick, Ford’s vice president of advanced product development, cycle planning, and programs in a press statement. "In response, we've engineered a Ranger equipped with robust components and improved functionality designed to keep operations running smoother and finish tasks faster." He added, "This upgrade elevates the performance standards of mid-size trucks right out of the factory to an unprecedented degree.

Ford states it features a "more robust build" compared to the standard Ranger. This model is equipped with a turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel engine that powers heavy-duty axles fitted with locking front and rear differentials via a 10-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The vehicle sits on 33-inch tires and includes upgraded brakes along with larger eight-lug wheels.

Although the precise horsepower has not been disclosed, the identical engine generates 247 hp with 443 lb-ft of torque in different Ranger variants. The vehicle comes equipped with a standard snorkel air intake system. Additionally, the robust front bumper, which is mounted onto the frame, offers enhanced durability for tasks and rough terrains. It also features a bash plate along with further shielding beneath the chassis for added safety during operations and adventurous drives.

Similar to how the U.S.-market Ranger comes exclusively as a crew cab pickup, the Ranger Super Duty offers more options including a double cab pickup, a double cab chassis, and a single cab chassis variant. These last two versions are tailored for customization with additional features such as tray beds and various service bodies suited to their specific purposes.
