Geza Warns: We Won't Let You Transform Zimbabwe Into a Hollow Shell - Tagwirei

President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s supporter, Kudakwashe Tagwirei, has faced criticism from war veterans, as Blessed “Bombshell” Geza accuses him of controlling major parts of the economy through corrupt practices.

The contentious entrepreneur hasn't remained immune to the power struggles inside the governing body, facing accusations of leveraging his closeness to Mnangagwa to foster corruption by securing major governmental initiatives for himself.

Geza cautioned Tagwirei about the approaching war veterans who blamed him for conspiring with the government to ruin the nation.

"Tagwirei, I amwarningyou alongwithyourcolleagues. Wewerenot fightingtoallowyoutocontrolcorruptdeals.Wewilltakedefinitiveactionagainstyou—believe me—and wewon’tspareanydetail. BeforeMnangagwalosespower,Zimbabwemightbecomeadrainednation,andthatisabsolutelyunacceptable.We won’theadmitit,” statedGeza.

Through his intermediaries, Tagwirei has been obtaining government contracts. He secured a multi-million dollar project for building the Mbudzi Interchange flyover. Additionally, he has broadened his commercial activities into mining and now enjoys almost exclusive control over the fuel market.

Moreover, Tagwirei has been leading the Command Agriculture initiative and presently serves as the chairperson of the Land Tenure Implementation Committee.

The corporation owned by the business tycoon, Sakuda Holdings, faced allegations regarding the loss of $3 billion from the Ministry of Agriculture’s funds between 2017 and 2018.

Consequently, Tagwirei faced sanctions from the United States of America, which alleged he had aided high-ranking government officials in corrupt activities.

Geza indicated that corruption has surged under Mnangagwa's leadership because of favoritism towards cronies.

The corruption within Mnangagwa's administration has turned into a national crisis. He continues to appoint his associates to exploit the nation's resources.

"Geza stated that they struggled for economic liberation and fair resource allocation. However, Mnangagwa seems determined to seize all assets from the nation," he remarked.
