A 46-year-old man from Highland was fatally stabbed early Wednesday, April 2, and as of Friday, the suspect remained at large, according to statements made by the San Bernardino Police Department.
The victim and his girlfriend were strolling close to a car wash located on Highland Avenue in the 3400 block at approximately 12:48 a.m., when an argument with another individual escalated into tragedy, according to Lt. Jennifer Kohrell, who serves as a spokesperson for the Police Department.
Jesse Trevino suffered multiple stab wounds to his chest and passed away at the location where he was attacked, according to Kohrell. The girlfriend provided a rather unclear depiction of the assailant, Kohrell stated, and informed law enforcement that they were unfamiliar with their attacker.
By Friday, no arrests had been reported.
