Mock Draft Update: Post-Free Agency Shake-Up

Now that the initial major wave of free agency is complete, it’s time to refresh our single-round mock for the 2025 NFL Draft. Given all the recent signings and trades throughout this past week, numerous team draft requirements have shifted significantly.

1 - Tennessee Titans - QB Cam Ward - Miami

While we're not convinced Ward should be the number one pick in the draft, the Titans desperately need a new quarterback.

2 - Cleveland Browns - DT Mason Graham from Michigan

Graham is an error-free defensive tackle who would complement Myles Garrett exceptionally well.

3 - New York Giants - OT Will Campbell - LSU

Without Ward on the team, the Giants opt for the best available offensive tackle and find a solution at quarterback through different means.

4 - New England Patriots - EDGE Abdul Carter from Penn State

The Patriots should be pleased that they can select Carter in the first round since he is the most outstanding pass rusher available in this year’s draft.

5 - Jacksonville Jaguars - CB Travis Hunter from Colorado

The Jags could use help at cornerback or wide receiver and Travis Hunter has starter potential at both spots.

6 - Las Vegas Raiders - RB Ashton Jeanty - Boise State

With their new quarterback in place, the Raiders go for the best offensive skill player in the draft to take some heat off of Geno Smith.

7 - New York Jets - OL Arman Membou - Missouri

Membou has Pro Bowl potential at guard and tackle and fits well with Justin Fields' style at quarterabck.

8 - Carolina Panthers - CB Will Johnson from Michigan

The Panthers have been quite busy in free agency in order to secure a dominant cornerback who could team up with Jaycee Horn.

9 - New Orleans Saints - EDGE Mykel Williams - Georgia

Williams is crazy athletic with an elite first step and closing speed.

10 - Chicago Bears - RB Jalon Walker - Georgia

The Bears land back-to-back Bulldog selections with Walker, potentially snagging one of the most versatile defenders available in this year’s draft.

11 - San Francisco 49ers - EDGE James Pearce Jr. - Tennessee

Pearce worked his way up draft boards after putting on an absolute show at the NFL scouting combine.

12 - Dallas Cowboys - WR Tetairoa McMillan - Arizona

The Cowboys require a top-tier wide receiver to team up with CeeDee Lamb, and McMillan’s robust playing style is primed for the NFL.

13 - Miami Dolphins - OT Kelvin Banks Jr. - Texas

The Dolphins always need more offensive linemen, and Banks will definitely start from day one.

14 - Indianapolis Colts - Tight End Tyler Warren from Penn State

The Colts' offense requires as many playmakers as possible, and Warren stands out as a top talent at the tight-end position.

15 - Atlanta Falcons - EDGE Shemar Stewart from Texas A&M

The Falcons take a chance on the defensive end who stands out as the least polished among all the top-first round picks but offers the greatest potential for growth.

16 - Arizona Cardinals - WR Matthew Golden - Texas

The Cardinals are developing a robust receiving corps, and Golden provides them with someone who can stretch defenses vertically.

17 - Cincinnati Bengals - S Malaki Starks - Georgia

The Bengals should concentrate on the defensive backfield early in the draft, and Starks is a top-tier playmaker.

18 - Seattle Seahawks - Original Gangster Tyler Booker from Alabama

Seattle aims to focus on running plays with the football, and Booker stands out as one of the top run-blocking guards available in this year’s draft.

19 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers - S Nick Emmanwori - South Carolina

Emmanwori was the star of the NFL scouting combine and the hybrid linebacker/safety is a perfect chess piece for an NFL defense.

20 - Denver Broncos - WR Emeka Egbuka from Ohio State

We enjoy Courtland Sutton, however, the remaining wideouts for Denver primarily take on supporting roles. In contrast, Egbukah possesses the capability to excel when playing in the slot position.

21 - Pittsburgh Steelers - Quarterback Shedeur Sanders - Colorado

Sanders' fall concludes with the Steelers, who neglected to bolster their quarterback position.

22 - Los Angeles Chargers - DT Derrick Harmon from Oregon

The Chargers have mostly role players on the defensive line and Harmon has the potential to play all along their front.

23 - Green Bay Packers - CB Jhadae Barron - Texas

The Packers might benefit from adding another defensive playmaker, and Barron is an incredibly athletic player with a knack for finding the ball.

24 - Minnesota Vikings - RB Omarion Hampton from North Carolina

Aaron Jones is 30 years old, and the competition between Hampton and Jeanty is getting closer. Hampton is known for being able to handle all three downs as a featured running back.

25 - Houston Texans - OL Josh Simmons - Ohio State

During free agency, the Texans made some peculiar moves regarding their offensive line, leading us to choose Simmons instead, as he has the versatility to play either guard or tackle.

26 - Los Angeles Rams - LB Jihaad Campbell - Alabama

Campbell is a sideline-to-sideline inside linebacker who is an upgrade at either of the Rams' spots.

27 - Baltimore Ravens - OL Grey Zabel - North Dakota State

Zabel is an old-school, blue-collar offensive linemen designed for the roughness of the NFL.

28 - Detroit Lions - CB Shavon Revel - East Carolina University

Revel sat out the entire 2024 season due to a torn ACL, but he has recovered and is now considered an obvious choice as a first-round pick.

29 - Washington Commanders - EDGE Mike Green - Marshall

While I may not be as enthusiastic about Green as some other analysts, by the conclusion of the draft, he turns into a solid budget-friendly choice for the Commanders.

30 - Buffalo Bills - WR Luther Burden III - Missouri

Khalil Shakir is emerging as a standout talent, yet the remainder of the team is rather ordinary; however, Burden represents a significant improvement.

31 - Kansas City Chiefs - Defensive Tackle Walter Nolen - Ole Miss

The Chiefs acquired Jerry Tillery, yet Nolen is simply too dynamic and skilled to overlook at this point.

32 - Philadelphia Eagles - CB Benjamin Morrison

Since your squad is the top dog in the NFL, you've got some leeway. So, if Morrison steps up as expected, we can shift Cooper DeJean to an outfield position instead.
