Pepco Romania has assigned Retailer Raul Ciungu Iordate as Head of Operations.

He boasts more than 16 years of expertise in retail, having taken on leadership roles across operations management, human resources, compliance, and project management.

Raul Ciungu assumes the position previously held by Bogdan Grigoriu, who has been elevated to the role of Regional Operations Director for Pepco South Europe. In this new capacity, Grigoriu will be responsible for managing the company’s operations across seven nations: Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As the Chief of Operations, Raul Ciungu will take charge of synchronizing and enhancing all operational activities across Pepco Romania. The aim is to guarantee smooth store operations and boost work efficiency. Additionally, he will manage the execution of the firm’s growth and enlargement plans locally, as stated by the corporation.

A decade ago, Pepco joined the local marketplace. Since 2015, when they had 202 staff members, their workforce grew to 3,648 by January 2025. Currently operating with 475 outlets across the country, Romania now stands as the brand’s most significant market outside of Poland.
