Former First Minister Nicola Sturgeon addressed reporters near her residence following her exoneration as a potential suspect in a police inquiry into the financial matters of the SNP.
She mentioned that it felt like a weight had been lifted now that the "investigation cloud" was no longer looming over her.
The announcement was made as her spouse, former SNP head of operations Peter Murrell, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court accused of embezzlement.
Addressing the crowd in Glasgow, Sturgeon mentioned that it was a day filled with contrasting feelings yet acknowledged that this was the result she anticipated.
