WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) – The Maryland Department of Emergency Management (MDEM) issued a tornado watch for Washington County on Sunday.
A storm system was moving through the DMV area, causing gusty winds and rainfall across the region.

On a tweet from X, MDEM mentioned that the tornado watch would be valid until 8 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm warning was in effect for Washington County until 7:45 p.m.
