In a space once dominated by the American Express Centurion Lounge network, Chase and Capital One have been opening their own branded airport lounges at a rapid pace.
Since 2021, Capital One has opened four lounges — most recently, one in Las Vegas — as well as one "Landing," a unique dining concept.
The next locations are slated to be a lounge at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and the next Landing at LaGuardia Airport (LGA).
Here's everything that we know about Capital One's lounges, including who has access and what to expect inside.
Who has access to Capital One lounges?
The $395-per-year Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card is the primary way most travelers can access a Capital One Lounge. However, this card is not the only way you can get access.
The Venture X Includes unrestricted use of Capital One lounges for the main cardholder along with approved additional users, plus free admission for up to two companions per visit (kids aged 2 and younger enter at no cost). Extra visitors have to pay $45 each. This policy regarding guests is quite generous.
You can similarly enjoy unrestricted entry into Capital One lounges using this card. Capital One Venture X for Businesses . It too has a $395 annual fee and provides primary cardholders the same access privileges as the personal Venture X.
Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card and Capital One Spark Miles for Business Cardholders along with their guests can enter these lounges for a special fee of $45 per individual.
Ultimately, Capital One lounges are accessible to all travelers who wish to pay an increased entrance fee of $90 per person.
Other rules
Every visitor to a Capital One Lounge needs to show a boarding pass for an outgoing flight. Access is allowed up to three hours prior to departure or when they have a same-day connecting flight. People won’t be permitted entry using boarding passes from arriving flights unless those passengers also have another outbound journey connected to their arrival.

Capital One runs lounges at:
- Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW)
- Denver International Airport (DEN)
- Dulles International Airport (IAD)

It also has one Landing open at:

Additionally, another Capital One Lounge is slated to open soon, located at JFK , along with an additional Arrival at LGA.

Las Vegas lounge
Capital One opened its latest lounge in Las Vegas' Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in February.
It’s situated in the primary section of Terminal 3, Concourse D, on Level 2 close to Gate 50. The lounge operates every day from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., which makes it the one with the most extended hours among all Capital One Lounges.
Inside, you'll find grab-and-go offerings as well as the small plates, craft cocktails and locally roasted coffee we've come to expect from Capital One lounges. And the lounge has its own version of the perfect airport beer: the Lady Luck from Vienna Lager.
Additionally, the space offers six private gender-neutral restrooms fully equipped with changing tables. It also has one relaxation room and two private work rooms available by reservation.
Don't miss the unique daily rituals offered in this lounge. Throughout the day, different beverage cart services are available: Italian-style shaken espresso in the morning, tea and pastries in the afternoon, and sparkling wine at sunset to accompany the space's impressive views.
However, not everything that sparkles is made of gold, and this lounge doesn’t have some features we usually enjoy elsewhere; there are no showers, fitness areas, or baggage lockers available here.

Reagan National Airport
Capital One broadened its range of services by introducing new products and features. first Capital One Landing At Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) in November 2024.
It's situated in DCA’s Terminal 2 close to Concourse D, nearest to the gates of American Airlines yet just a brief stroll away from the other airline gates within the terminal, considering the airport's compact scale.
While not explicitly a lounge, the Capital One Landing focuses largely on delivering an elevated dining experience. It partners with the highly acclaimed José Andrés Group to curate each location's food and beverage options. Remaining true to its culinary heritage, the Landing serves Spanish-style tapas.
The Capital One Landing consists of two sections, and you will have to exit through the terminal and turn the corner to access the second area from the first one.
Upon checking in at the main lounge, The Landing allocates guests to specific tables rather than permitting them to freely select their seating areas within the venue. Guests will be provided with cuisine from Andrés, featuring a delectable tapas selection that is delivered promptly, along with an array of special drinks available upon request.
This initiative is part of a distinctive collaboration between Andrés and Capital One, marking the chef's initial foray into airport cuisine.
The second fast-food area, called On the Fly, operates as a casual café catering to all passengers, not solely those who have entry to the lounge. Individuals with cards receive a 50% reduction on everything they eat and drink; however, overall, it offers much like what you'd expect from a regular airport outlet where items can be quickly picked up and taken away.
At the Capital One Landing, you won't see facilities like showers, lounge areas, or individual meeting spaces because this location serves mainly domestic travelers who usually transit quickly through DCA airport.

Denver lounge
Capital One opened its third lounge in Denver International Airport in November 2023.
Located in Concourse A, it's convenient for those flying Frontier Airlines, Delta Air Lines and most international carriers, but passengers flying out of Concourse B and C need to take an underground train to access it.
This lounge celebrates Denver's unique culture through its mountain-themed art and food and beverage offerings created by local providers.
Lounge guests have their choice of bespoke cocktails, but don't miss the Denver location's signature airport beer: the Sky High P.A.
The lounge provides food and drink choices typical of what we're accustomed to from Capital One: an array of quick picks near the entrance for people in transit, along with single portions of heartier treats for visitors who can spare some extra time.
In addition, the lounge features two shower facilities, two relaxation areas, three individual workspaces (bookable upon request), and a family area.

Dulles lounge
In September 2023, Capital One inaugurated its second lounge at Dulles International Airport.
It's conveniently located just past the TSA PreCheck security lines.
Inside, visitors can take advantage of multiple grab-and-go snack and drink options if they need to get to their gate quickly. Those with more time can find a spot in the open-concept space to settle in, where they can choose from a wide range of single-serve food options and a bar with some eye-catching drinks.
Elements of the local culture are evident throughout, from a nod to the nation's capital in some art pieces to the cherry blossom margarita and locally roasted coffee available.

Dallas Fort Worth lounge
Capital One hit American Express' Centurion Lounge head-on with its approximately 10,000-square-foot DFW location in Terminal D, near Gate 22. In fact, it's in the very same terminal, just steps from the Amex lounge.
Capital One’s DFW lounge celebrates the Dallas-Fort Worth area through its decor and visitor experiences, featuring collaborations with local artists, breweries, coffee roasters, and cocktail bars.
When establishing this initial lounge, Capital One emphasized sustainable materials, distinctive textures, and striking features such as rounded edges.
Over 55 pieces of distinctive artworks created by local talents and selected by the Tappan Collective are showcased here. This extensive collection includes various artistic viewpoints and techniques, offering visitors "a chance to explore the area through its creative expressions."

JFK lounge
In mid-2024, Capital One announced plans to open a fifth lounge at JFK, which is expected to open in mid-2025.
This lounge will be located in Terminal 4 and have special features to honor New York City.
A bodega serving coffee and bagels will give the lounge a true urban feel. Visitors will be able to sample cheeses and cured meats from the Hudson Valley while sipping lounge-exclusive wine and beer selections.
Like the other Capital One lounges, the JFK lounge will feature art from local artists and grab-and-go food options. At 13,000 square feet, it will be 2,000 square feet smaller than the Centurion Lounge. Given how many travelers pass through JFK every year, it's no surprise that Capital One is pursuing efforts to open a lounge here.

LGA Landing
Capital One intends to launch a second Landing at LGA in late 2025. The distinctive facility will be introduced in Terminal B.

What kind of food and drinks can you find at Capital One Loungues?
The Capital One lounges provide an upscale dining experience within the lounge area, featuring seasonally inspired menus made from locally sourced products.
On our visits, the dishes we’ve tried have consistently been of high quality. A particular highlight was a beef bibimbap bowl that masterfully blends spicy and sweet flavors.
Speaking of sweetness, the cannolis we've tasted have been deliciously crisp on the outside and sweet and decadent on the inside.
A ready-to-eat food station features grab-and-go snacks, including salads, fresh fruits, juice shots and rotating warm selections like breakfast sandwiches in the mornings and fresh-from-the-oven cookies in the afternoons.
For those who have the opportunity to take a seat and relax before their flight, other catering highlights include craft cocktails, local beers and regional wines, dining stations (with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options), and a full-service coffee and espresso bar from La Colombe.

What health and wellness amenities can be found in Capital One lounges?
Health and wellness are key components of the Capital One lounge approach.
Actually, the DFW site provides the opportunity to complete a comprehensive workout prior to your flight using Peloton bicycles and a yoga studio.
If you find yourself with some downtime during your layover, the DFW, DEN, and LAS facilities provide relaxation areas equipped with high-tech nap pods along with additional features like blankets and sleep masks.
Moreover, the DFW, IAD, and DEN sites feature dedicated lactation areas equipped with reclining chairs, footstools, baby bottle heaters, mini-fridges stocked with drinks, and additional countertop area for changing diapers.
The LAS location also offers three beverage add-ons: powdered drink mix-ins supporting relaxation, energy or relaxation. These are included in some of the lounge's craft cocktails, but guests can request an add-on with any drink they order.

Bottom line
In 2013, American Express revolutionized airport lounges with the debut of their first Centurion Lounge. Recently, Capital One has entered this arena as well, and even Chase Sapphire Lounges are making waves. Based on current observations, it seems that Amex faces strong competitors.
Capital One is distinguishing itself through various lounge amenities such as readily available snacks and drinks, locally inspired design features across its facilities, and exclusive items like a specially selected "ideal airport beer" at every site. Additionally, their introduction of compact Landing locations provides an enhanced selection of benefits for cardmembers.
