The psychological thriller revolves around Mark Scout ( Adam Scott ) along with his team (the Macrodata Refiners) at Lumon Industries, where specific employees go through a severance process that involves surgically separating their memories into professional and personal segments.
This trial of balancing professional and personal life compels workers to juggle dual existences: their "innie" personas, limited within the featureless, window-free corridors and vast halls of Lumon, versus their "outie" counterparts who move through everyday scenarios in the ostensibly normal community of Kier.
The series mainly unfolds at Lumon Industries — an actual mid-century office structure located in a New Jersey town. Location: Bell Labs located in Holmdel Township, New Jersey, and York Studios situated in the Bronx, New York.
The outside of Lumon Industries is located where Bell Labs used to be in Holmdel Township.
Prior to serving as the fictional headquarters, this building was the location for Bell Telephone Laboratories, which functioned as the research division of AT&T, up until the telecom giant broke apart in 1982, according to The New York Times .

The Perpetuity Wing

"During the search, we spent entire days hiking since many of these places couldn't be reached by vehicle. In some regions, you needed to walk about five miles only to discover that 'we simply can't reach this spot.'
Exiting the office similarly entailed adjusting to fluctuating weather patterns, presenting difficulties.
"We experienced an incredible amount of snow at the start of filming, but then it became extremely warm, causing everything to melt, so we ended up shooting with no snow at all," he recounted to the publication.
