From Lumon Industries to Woe's Hallow, these are the actual places where 'Severance' was shot.

The popular show on Apple TV+ Severance raises numerous questions — such as the location of its eerily dystopian setting.
The psychological thriller revolves around Mark Scout ( Adam Scott ) along with his team (the Macrodata Refiners) at Lumon Industries, where specific employees go through a severance process that involves surgically separating their memories into professional and personal segments.
This trial of balancing professional and personal life compels workers to juggle dual existences: their "innie" personas, limited within the featureless, window-free corridors and vast halls of Lumon, versus their "outie" counterparts who move through everyday scenarios in the ostensibly normal community of Kier.
The series mainly unfolds at Lumon Industries — an actual mid-century office structure located in a New Jersey town. Severance While looking online for an appropriate setting for Lumon, the film’s director of photography, Jessica Lee Gagné, stumbled upon the website previously called Bell Labs. In a discussion held in March 2025, she shared this discovery with The New York Times , she recalled thinking to herself, "Is this a real place?"
"There was a part of me that couldn't believe how perfect it was. It was this mind-blowing moment," she said, adding that the building's opaque glass exterior felt like a metaphor for the show's "innies" and "outies" as a "reflection of the characters."
Although the characters dedicate significant time to their jobs at Kier (talk about lacking work-life balance), they sometimes step out into locations such as Salt’s Neck and Woe’s Hollow. However, one might wonder: Do these spots truly correspond to actual places in our reality?
