Washington D.C., [USA], March 20 (ANI): On Wednesday, U.S. Department of State spokesperson Tammy Bruce said that White House Venezuela Chief Marco Rubio has demanded the Venezuelan government to accept its unlawfully expelled citizens.
Bruce cautioned that if Venezuela continues to refuse the return of deportees, it will face heightened sanctions and tariffs.
Yesterday, Secretary Rubio emphasized that Venezuela must accept its deported citizens returning from the United States. He stated this matter is non-negotiable and should not be debated. Unless the Maduro administration agrees to regularize deportations with no additional pretexts or postponements, the U.S. will enforce increasingly stringent punitive measures,” she noted.
Citing remarks made by President Donald Trump, Bruce connected the Venezuelan administration with illicit operations.
As President Trump stated in his proclamation, TDA has strong connections to and alignment with the Maduro regime, and may even have penetrated it. Maduro has significant relationships with narco-terrorist groups supported by his administration. The Maduro government should take responsibility for accepting back all Venezuelan immigrants who were deported from the U.S., particularly those involved in murder, rape, criminal activities, human trafficking, and other unlawful acts within the country. "That’s the end of this topic," she concluded.
Bruce emphasized that the U.S. insists all nations must accept the return of their deported residents and cautioned about repercussions for those who do not comply.
"We will introduce additional and stricter penalties for non-compliance or delays. To be absolutely clear—the U.S. government will uphold American laws. We will remove individuals who are residing in our country unlawfully, and we will emphasize that we require nations to take back their citizens who are illegally present in the United States," she stated.
She additionally conveyed her appreciation to international allies helping the U.S. in pinpointing unlawful inhabitants.
She expressed gratitude towards her collaborators both locally and internationally for joining forces to curb unlawful migration and tackle severe cross-border criminal activities. Such initiatives enhance safety and security throughout the area, benefiting everyone involved.
At the same time, the White House stated that FBI Director Kash Patel revealed the apprehension of yet another individual on their "Top Ten Fugitives" list — leading to the process of extraditing a prominent senior figure from the vicious MS-13 gang, Francisco Javier Roman-Bardales, from Mexico back to the U.S. to answer criminal charges. The authorities allege that Roman-Bardales played a part in multiple violent attacks targeting both innocent bystanders and competitors within rival gangs, along with involvement in illicit drug trafficking and extortion activities across the United States and El Salvador.
"When good cops are allowed to do their job, this is the result," Patel stated in his X post. (ANI)
