Tonight, LA Knight will learn who his upcoming opponent for the United States Championship will be, as Jacob Fatu goes up against rival Braun Strowman in a Number One Contenders Match. Over recent weeks, Fatu and Strowman have frequently crossed paths, both aiming to topple Knight from his championship perch through various singles and tag-team encounters. Their rivalry reached new heights in last week’s “SmackDown” episode when Fatu disrupted a United States Championship bout between Knight and Strowman, resulting in a disqualification and depriving Strowman of an opportunity to claim the title.
Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin from The Motor City Machine Guns aim to move closer to reclaiming the WWE Tag Team Championships as they face Tommy Ciampa and Johnny Gargano in a Number One Contenders match. This bout decides who gets the chance to challenge The Street Profits for the titles. Previously, The Street Profits defeated #DIY on the March 14 episode of “SmackDown” to win the championships, and they successfully defended them last week against Pretty Deadly.
Before they clash at WWE WrestleMania 41 in a Triple Threat Match, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns will each make appearances on tonight’s show with important points to raise. Last week, these three competitors solidified their matchup set for Las Vegas, Nevada, signing contracts as they exchanged sharp remarks. During this exchange, Paul Heyman informed Punk that his bout against Rollins and Reigns would headline one night of the upcoming Premium Live Event. Despite this revelation, Punk maintained that Heyman owed him a favor.
Naomi is set to compete in her inaugural official match following her narrow defeat in a Six Woman Tag Team Match on the February 28 edition of "WWE SmackDown," facing off against B-Fab. Last week, when B-Fab tried to back up her associate Michin during her clash with Charlotte Flair, Naomi intervened by attacking them at the entrance stage. However, her efforts were countered when Jade Cargill stepped in to assist Naomi, who then fled into the audience through the crowd.
Moreover, Rey Fenix is set to make his debut in WWE with his inaugural match against an unnamed adversary.
