T.J. replied, "This is nearly a trick question. We can’t pinpoint our first date since we've been seeing each other consistently for ten years. It’s always just been one continuous thing right from the start."
He stated, “At no moment did we venture out for a meal and declare, ‘Let’s call this our inaugural date.’ Instead, things evolved naturally without us explicitly acknowledging when exactly dating began. It was all very spontaneous. In fact, as a duo, we have absolutely no idea about any specific place, occasion, or hour marking what could be considered our first official outing.” Ultimately, they agreed that selecting a particular day would help them celebrate their relationship milestone together.

She told People that the rings symbolized a "pledge," adding, "'Actually, my mother questioned me about this too since we both wear Oura rings; she assumed perhaps we got secretly hitched without informing her. We've been sporting these rings on different fingers though. So I assured her, ‘Mom, trust me, I’d certainly let you know if something of that sort happened.’"
