(FOX40.com)—Independent reporter Tara Palmeri discussed with Inside California Politics the political prospects of several prominent Democratic figures from California.
Palmeri suggested that ex-Vice President Kamala Harris might keep pursuing politics but expressed doubt about her ascending to the top position again.
I believe they would be foolish to put her forward as presidential candidate again. When you don’t succeed, you should shift gears," Palmeri stated. "Only the Democrats seem intent on repeatedly nominating the same individuals. It seems logical for her to progress elsewhere. Being the governor of California is perfectly acceptable. If that’s where you wish to focus your professional endeavors, go ahead with that; however, I don’t envision her mounting another campaign.
Concerning Governor Gavin Newsom, Palmeri anticipates possible hurdles to his aspirations for the presidency that he cannot influence himself.
Gavin Newsom has his own distinct appeal. He excels for certain individuals, but can he serve the needs of the whole nation?" Palmeri commented. "After all, one might argue he represents coastal elites. The Democratic Party recently attempted this approach with Kamala Harris from California, and the belief is that repeating such an effort may not prove fruitful.
