Shillong ( Meghalaya ), [India], March 20 (ANI): The 119 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) Assam greeted 76 new trainees at Kench's Trace, Shillong On Tuesday, these young individuals embarked on their journey toward a lifetime of service and commitment as they commenced their four-week Phase I training, according to a statement from Defence PRO.
After this introductory stage, the recruits will proceed to undertake a rigorous 36-week Basic Military Training at the Assam Regimental Centre in Shillong This intense training regimen will provide them with the necessary abilities, discipline, and fortitude needed to transform into combat-prepared troops ready to defend the country across various demanding terrains.
The team warmly welcomed the newcomers, conveying faith in their upcoming voyage. As they set out on this evolving route, the Indian Army is eager to see them grow into disciplined and devoted servicemen, who are committed to defending the principles of bravery, fidelity, and unselfish dedication.
The Indian Army is hosting a two-day seminar titled 'Resurgent Arunachal : Integrated Approach to Security and Development' at Likabali Military Station on March 21 and 22.
